Transcendence
I've been playing a free game called Transcendence quite a bit lately on my PC - it's a bit like a 2D version of Elite...
I like the way you can add "extensions" to the game by creating an XML file and saving it into the game's "Extentions" subfolder. There are plenty of extensions at Xelerus.
